We've been in Vancouver for 2 days now and planning to hit the road on Thursday. We spent our first morning putting the bikes together and making sure everything still worked.

In the afternoon we went for a visit to Glen Canyon in search of bears and cougars. No luck on that front but it was a beautiful spot despite the damp. Perhaps Rupert the dog stopped the animals from visiting.
In the evening it was family time catching up with the Canadian aunt, uncle and cousins. We are currently staying with the cuzzies who have given us a bed and are feeding and watering us while we get ourselves sorted.

Today we did a recce on the bikes heading toward Stanley Park. The weather cleared and it was a lovely 35km shake down ride around the park, checking out the totem poles and trying to remember to stay right not left. This was mostly successfully achieved although Gordon seems to think we got a few honks. I don't think they were directed at us and I'm sticking to that!

Hello there! My friend and I met you as we were all taking pictures on our bikes at the entrance to Stanley Park. I'm home from vacation now and have regular access to the internet again so I looked up your blog. It was fun to hear about your plans to travel to Mexico by bike. Good luck with your trip!
