We are about to land in Vancouver as I write this. The past 24 hours have been a complete whirlwind and I did wonder if we were going to make it to the airport on time! Last Tuesday the movers shifted all our furniture into our storage unit for the year. That was fine and we slept on the floor on mattresses until the last morning. While I'd spent all of Saturday night cleaning the pantry, when we woke up Sunday morning we suddenly realised how much stuff we still had to shift and clean before check in at 3pm. All I can say is we made it and we slept well on the plane. Never again though!
I completely failed to take any photos of all our gear or our packed bikes which probably isn't the best start to my intention to take lots of photos to capture our trip. I promise to try harder. What I can say is that Gordon's bike box was exactly 23kgs, mine was 21kg and our two gear bags were exactly 16kg each. That sounds quite a lot doesn't it! Ah well, hang onto your seats, here we go!

Go you two - we shall be living vicariously, so you'd better make it a good one for us all!
No pressure.
Looking forward to reading about your adventures. Stay safe!
