Day 16, Pacific Sojourn, May 2, building a wall map
Today Lulu and I spent much of the day recreating the wall map of the two islands and all of the points of interest that sits on the wall in the Outdoor Samoa shed. This was a relatively complex job that reminded me of school days with glue, scissors and double sided tape. Still, we are happy with the outcome and the wall looks great.
Lulu and I also popped into town to pick up some fuel and some stationary items before Jyrus and I dropped an ebike at the ferry. Unfortunately one of the ebikes over on Savaii has failed. It's brand new so clearly a manufacturing issue. Ross spoke with the New Zealand distributor and was unable to solve the problem so we have sent a replacement off on the ferry. Very frustrating for all concerned.
Tonight's swim was wonderfully refreshing after another hot day. 33 degrees 'feels like 40' was on the gauge today. I think I mentioned we spend much of the day dripping in sweat. It's funny to stand in front of a fan to try and keep cool rather than standing in front of a heater trying to stay warm!
