Day 6, Pacific Sojourn, April 22, a relatively quiet day
Today we just had a pick up and a drop off to do and then the rest of the day was ours. We spent the day quietly setting up the bike I am planning to ride for the next 4 days and reading. It was pretty muggy today but I was pleased to find that when I was out pottering on the bike that it is not too bad and there is definitely a cooling effect from the breeze while riding. Climbing up hills might be a bit different though!
Tomorrow we are joining a group for a tour called the Savaii Taster. This a three night supported tour and there is a large family group heading out. We will use the opportunity to get a feel for the tour and the island while helping support the group. Later in our time here, we plan to head out for a much longer tour by ourselves so this will be a good exploring session. We are looking forward to getting on the bikes. Well, I am, Gordon is actually driving a support vehicle and will be enjoying the air conditioning instead.
