Day 56, vanlife, March 14, Round the Mountain Trail and some Frisbee golf

Today was a mixed bag of bits and bobs. First up we dropped the two Te Araroa walkers off at the start of their next section before we headed into Te Anau to do a resupply. We decided to check out the disc golf course while we were there and had an enjoyable 2 hours throwing the disc's in a variety of directions that usually did not reflect the direction of the basket! We really don't think we are getting any better! Great course though.

From here we headed back toward Lumsden and stopped to do some trail angeling (new word). Our friends Rob and Tanya are doing the Sounds 2 Sounds ride and we have been hoping to catch them as they head south. We finally managed to cross paths and we set up an aid station right on the trail. This was a bit of fun and we were able to feed them cold drinks, potato chips and cookies. They then headed off and we went up to where they were planning to camp the night on the Round the Mountain Trail. I did a quick ride along the trail before getting some dinner underway. Rob and Tanya arrived about 6pm and we've had a lovely evening catching up over a shared meal beside the trail. We are also camping in this secluded spot beside the trail. No signs to say we can't and there is a loo! Off to Manapouri tomorrow.
