Day 23, vanlife, February 11th, Omakau A&P Show
Today we had a really fun day out at the annual Omakau Agricultural and Pastoral Show. Sheep, cows, bulls, horses, tractors, 4x4s, motorbikes, and scones. Along with judging for home baking, Lego, flower arrangements, knitting, crochet, embroidery, painting, jams and preserves, cakes, scones, and everything else you can imagine. Then there was shearing and wood chopping competitions, show jumping, barrel racing, polo, and ponys going around in circles with little girls on them. Then they judges the sheared fleeces, the sheep, the bulls and the cows! The kids had a ball on the bouncy castle and other amusement activities!
The A&P Show is always a lot of fun and a real taste of life in rural New Zealand. If you ever get a chance to go to one, we highly recommend it!
