Days 182 - 184, January 5th, 6th and 7th, Leucadia and Vista
Yep, the rain arrived and so our one full day in Leucadia was limited to a walk in the rain with a very stormy beach! That night though, we were picked up by our friend Uri who we met in Joshua Tree and joined him and his wife Nina for dinner at their place. Nina had prepared a delicious meal with some real Bulgarian flavors. We were treated to delicious pork, salad, dips and dessert. Such a treat.
The next day we got back on the bus and negotiated our way up to Vista. I went out for a short run in the morning to find the beach closed due to big swells. See the pictures of where we had been walking two days prior. Once up in Vista, we walked up to Peter and Sylvia's place where we had left our bikes. We have now managed to fully pack the bikes and all our gear into boxes. Our attempts to find suitable bags for our gear were fruitless so boxes will have to do! We have ruthlessly thrown out anything that is worn beyond reasonable use as well as most of the free stuff we got at FOY.
Dinner out with Peter and Sylvia to thank them for their wonderful hospitality and a walk around the murals of Vista finished off the day.
Off to Los Angeles tomorrow!
