Day 168, December 20th, Fountain of Youth RV Park and Spa to Vista
Today we finally left FOY for good. It was actually a bit sad as we have had a wonderful time and made some lovely new friends who we hope will come to visit us down under once we are back home.
After a quick morning run, we managed to get everything packed up and into the rental car. We said our farewells, left a whole lot of stuff at the camp free store and hit the road.
First stop was Borrego Springs Visitors Center for Gordon to go for a wander as I had visited when we stayed in Borrego Springs a few weeks back. Then it was up over the hills and back to the big city and civilization.
It was a bit of a culture shock dealing with the traffic lights and volume of cars but we made our way to REI where we both purchased new tramping shoes and picked up a couple of bike boxes so we can pack the bikes up. From there we made our way back to our friends Peter and Sylvia in Vista where we will stay a couple of nights.
