Days 146 - 148, November 29th to December 1st, 0km, Fountain of Youth RV Park and Spa
We have been sucked into FOY (as it is known) and not yet released. We may never be! On our first full day here, I started by doing a 6.5km hike through the desert trails surrounding the park, followed this by joining Gordon for an hour and a half stretch and strengthen class, lunch and then spent the afternoon soaking in the hot pools. The following days have been very similar! Evening activities have included a talent show, boccia (like bowls) and karaoke.

The wee shop on site has everything we need, the facilities are immaculately clean and adjacent to our tent site, and some kind neighbours have lent us chairs, tables and more cooking equipment. All of this for $21 per night. The prices in the store are very reasonable so we are not spending much at all! People come and stay for months at a time, many from Canada, and we can see why. There are some real characters here as well.
The only downside to all this is that my legs are killing me from all the hiking after so long on the bike. Probably doesn't help that I'm doing it all in my cycling shoes! Gordon has been to the gym but doesn't seem to be suffering. The hot mineral pools are definitely helping though.
Anyway, we've booked in for the week as the price is cheaper the longer you stay. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it turns into two weeks!

The above vehicle is a prime example of a golf cart that most people use to get around the park!
