Day 18, another day off

Day 18, July 24th, rest day at Night Sky campground.

Today we decided to have a rest day at this lovely wee campsite. In return for free accommodation we moved sprinklers, pulled weeds, shifted bark, swam in the river, and shared a wonderful dinner around the fire pit with new friends Noreen, Doreen and Janie. Janie owns the campsite, Doreen is living here during the summer giving guided museum tours about the old mining history and Noreen lives in town year round. We roasted sausages over the fire and had berry pie for dessert. It was a real Canadian experience. A great day and a lovely evening!
