Day 41, Pacific Sojourn, May 27, Falealupo rest day

A noisy breakfast before the large group headed off and left us in peace. Today was all about snorkeling. It's by far the best coral Reef we have snorkeled so far. The coral is luminescent and there are hundreds of tropical fish in all different colours. It's like swimming in a giant tropical fish tank but 100 times better. It was a bit overcast today and cooler than usual so I wasn't able to stay in as long as I wanted. The morning session was a bit full on as it was high tide and there was quite a swell coming in from the Reef. The afternoon was better but a bit cooler so I only lasted half an hour. Gordon has a slow healing blister on his heel so just did a bit of swimming without flippers.

Other than that, we went for a walk and read our books so generally a relaxing day. An underwater camera would have been awesome. Dinner was fish, rice, veges, chicken and chow mein accompanied by a coconut, the world's greatest food. I wish we grew them at home.
