Day 1, Pacific Sojourn, Nelson to Auckland
We are finally underway again on the next installment of our adventures. It feels like it's been a long time coming! The last few weeks have been spent deconstructing mum's apartment as she has now successfully moved into full time care. So very little in the way of adventures or even riding unfortunately. But that's life sometimes and family always comes first.
Anyway, back to our next adventure. We are on our way to Samoa (previously known as Western Samoa). Samoa lies in the South Pacific and comprises two main islands: Upolu and Savaii. There is also American Samoa but we will not be visiting there. Our plan is to spend some time 'woofing' (volunteering) with a company called Outdoor Samoa who run cycle and kayak tours around both islands before heading off on our own to explore by bike.
