Day 115, October 29th, Zion to Lake Powell
A very quiet day today. Lots of housekeeping done! We drove from our beautiful free camp to town and took advantage of McDonald's free wifi to do some prep for the next stage back on our bikes. I use Ride with GPS to plan and save routes as well as downloading existing routes. So we have a plan once we drop the van off. From here we drove to Wahweap on Lake Powell, another National Park area. The Forest Service campnhere has a laundry and showers so we took advantage of this and washed everything requiring washing!

Lake Powell is fascinating. At first we wondered where it was as the Lake level is so low but eventually found it. The lake stretches for 100s of miles and people head out in their boats for days at a time to fish and wilderness camp up canyons. Again, another stunning park.
Off to the Grand Canyon tomorrow where I actually managed to negotiate the National Park Service online booking system and find us a campsite!
