Day 87, October 1st, rest day, Jeffrey City to Rawlins via shuttle
Day 88, October 2nd, 40km and 437m climb, Rawlins to informal campsite Sage Creek Road
We shuttled through to Rawlins with the wonderful Bill (who also made us breakfast at the cafe) yesterday, staying overnight at the KOA campsite and getting our washing done. Without the shuttle it would have been 109km on the main highway in the bucketing rain, good choice!

Today we awoke to blustery, grey conditions but decided to make a dash 40km up the road to camp. I have to say it wasn't the most pleasant day I've had on a bike. 40km per hour gusty headwinds, a wee bit of hail and some rain. To boot, I've of course caught Gordon's cold! We managed to make it down to the informal campsite but with all the rain, the mud is back and our tires are clogged again! Hopefully no more rain but ask me that tomorrow. The forecast is for good weather for the next few days so hopefully we will be back on track then.
Almost no photos today, it was all head down, bum up pedaling!
