Day 71, cruising toward Yellowstone

Day 71, September 15th, 22.2km and 243m climb, Bill Frome RV Park to Mountainside KOA.

A short day today, just a hop, skip and a jump over Targhee Pass, across the Divide again, back into Montana and into the KOA campground for three nights. It was nice to have a quiet start with time to dry the tent in the sun and enjoy a coffee with the neighbours before heading off.

The climb over the pass was sealed and easy although we are back in the traffic again. There was a good verge so all good. We got some lovely views of Henry's Lake and the trout fishing boats as we left too.

We were at the KOA just after lunch and set the tent up under a tree. We enjoyed the last of the sunshine before the thunderstorms rolled in and are now tucked into the tent sheltering from the rain. Tomorrow we have arranged to collect some more medication for Gordon from the pharmacy in West Yellowstone.  Not looking forward to how much that will cost but needs must and we have connected with a fantastic family physician in Oregon who is helping us out.

The forecast for tomorrow is for more rain and thunderstorms so we have been trying to lobby all the RV owners around us for a lift into town. No luck so far! It's only 12km so we might just have to get wet!
