Day 50, Pacific Sojourn, June 5, Tua O Maunga Outback Motel to Auckland
The final day. We enjoyed eggs and spam for breakfast before hitting the road for the final 12km back to Outdoor Samoa. It was a beautiful morning to finish the trip along one of our favorite pieces of coastline. We tried to go as slowly as possible not using any power at all but it still took us less than an hour and that was with photo stops!
We dropped the bikes off at Outdoor Samoa and had a final catch up with Ross, sharing our experiences including highlights and lowlights. On that note, Manusina Beach Fales and David Parker Eco Lodge were our favorite accommodations, Falealupo was our favourite snorkeling and the south west coast was our favorite coastline. Gordon's highlight of the entire 6 weeks was the one day Manono Kayak trip, mine was probably the first Turtle Kayak trip we did and the first snorkeling at Falealupo.
We jumped on the flight home which was about 45 minutes late. This meant we missed our Nelson connection and are enjoying a night in the Sudima hotel for our sins. Home tomorrow and back into the van for another month.
